Regional Stronger Schools Together Orientation Sessions Coming Soon!
Be on the lookout for messages announcing dates and locations for Stronger Schools Together orientation sessions that will be hosted in each LAUSD Region. These sessions will be an opportunity to learn more about the challenges facing the District, the opportunities we have to strengthen schools, and understand how and when our community will be able to participate as this work develops. September is National Suicide Prevention Month, making it an important time to come together and learn how we can better support the mental health and well-being of our youth. This month’s webinar will focus on recognizing signs of depression and suicide risk, understanding current youth mental health trends, and building skills to be a trusted, supportive adult. Give Your Child a Healthy Start: Services at LAUSD Health Screening Fairs
Join us at the Health Screening Fair! Your child can receive several services in one visit. Services may include: sports physicals, vision care, dental screenings and fluoride, well-child exams, childhood and flu vaccines, and more. The Health Screening Fair is open to all LAUSD students. Webinar: Your Voice Matters: Help Shape the Black Student Achievement Plan (BSAP)!
Join families from across the District in regional breakout rooms to connect with regional staff, celebrate BSAP wins, and learn how BSAP is supporting participating students. This College Awareness Month kick-off will also feature a college video and a spotlight on our graduating scholars. Learn, Connect, and Lead: SSC and ELAC Member Training
Virtual and in-person training will be offered to this year's School Site Council (SSC) and English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) members. Parent members of their school’s SSC or ELAC who attend in-person sessions are eligible for childcare and mileage reimbursement.

Build strong habits by setting consistent routines, scheduling appointments outside of school hours, and emphasizing the importance of arriving on time. If you face challenges, please contact your child's school. We are here to support you. The Metro GoPass Program is Back for Students
The Metro GoPass program is back! TK-12 students ride Metro buses and trains for free, all year long. If a student already has a GoPass TAP card, the student can keep using it through September 30. To get a new or renewed GoPass: - Request your activation code online with your student's LAUSD account.
- Get or keep your TAP card — contact your school's main office if you need one.
- Activate at taptogo.net/gopass with your TAP card number and activation code and wait at least one hour before riding.
- Tap and ride within 14 days of activation!
